Urbanity launches construction of transport infrastructure in Bruntál. The new road will alleviate the traffic in the residential zone and provide better access to public transport
“We are pleased to contribute to the development of cty not only through the construction of a modern production campus that will open the door to global opportunities and enable local talent to participate in projects of international companies, but also by supporting the modernisation of the transport infrastructure. The new road in V Táboře Street will relieve the residential area from lorry traffic and bring the longed-for calming. Accessibility by mass transport will improve with the new bus stop. It will improve the resident’s day-to-day lives,” stated Roland Hofman, the co-founder and CEO of Urbanity.
The newly built infrastructure will include not only the road itself, but also network relocations, public lighting, traffic signs and connections to the existing Opavská Street. The new public transport stop will also be a significant benefit for citizens, improving accessibility and connectivity with other parts of the town. Upon completion, the town of Bruntál will take over the management of the infrastructure.
“Thanks to the very good cooperation with the Urbanity Group, the entire area bordered on one side by the I/11 road and on the other side by the Olomouc – Opava východ railway line is undergoing a transformation. The building of the new road conveniently connects to the town’s southeast bypass, which is already under construction. I trust that the investment into the local transportation infrastructure is only the initial effect with a tangible positive impact on the life of the inhabitants of our town and that the construction of the Urbanity Campus Bruntál will also be an impulse for the development of the social infrastructure. I am very eager for Bruntál to take pride in the fulfilment of the concept of a sustainable district and to be an example for other towns,” stated the Mayor of Bruntál, Martin Henč.
“We have been trying to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Bruntál over the long term through gradual modernisation and Urbanity has been showing us with its concrete steps that it wants to be a partner for the town in this regard. The new infrastructure will significantly strengthen the overall transformation of this part of the town. Thus, we will be able to offer the local residents not only a calmer, but also a more pleasant place to live overall,” added Petr Rys, the Deputy Mayor of Bruntál.
The road on V Táboře Street will also serve as an access road to Urbanity’s newly-emerging modern industrial complex. Upon its completion, it will significantly strengthen the economic development of the region and beyond. In addition to new exciting opportunities in a modern working environment, it will provide services to employees and local residents. Urbanity has already built a production campus of this type in Tachov, for which it received several awards for the high degree of sustainability and the architecture of the campus, as well as for the cooperation with the local community. The company has the same ambitions with the Bruntál complex.
